Release night slotting
into place... (16/09/08).
On the 26th
of October 2008 Notebook Living will be released at the Paradiso in Amsterdam…. After
two years of traveling and trying to escape the stage, Wonder comes home to
her familiar surroundings and will treat us to a dream landscape filled with
words, her vocals, sound artist and creative inventor Spencer Marsden (Mild
Man Jan) and Jim Parris, musician and standing bass player superbe. Expect
organic blues and enchanting electronica pushing the boundaries of artistic
musical spheres. More surprises to be announced (like your favorite DJ’s,
some of Amsterdam’s finest creative minds, video art and a dark circus
like world)….

introvert title of the album is 'Notebook Living' and features Wonder

New performance piece. (26/11/05).
"An attempt at
understanding the universe" is the latest performance piece written by
Wonder, combining modern dance, an exceptional soundtrack with music from
Tchaikovsky, Motorhead, Nina Simone and others, additional music by Radion
(Bart Folmer) and live poetry by Wonder. The piece revolves around the silent
language by dancers/choreographers Dylan Newcomb and Kelly Hirina, and is
based on Wonders poems. "An attempt at understanding the universe"
is a rhythmical collage of thoughts and habits, trying to grasp the world
around us as a reflection of our thought patterns and finding ways to break
these patterns. Choreography/direction by Klaus Jurgens and production by
Productiehuis Paradiso-Melkweg. The project is part of the PmP
lab-experiment, creating different codes of language for pop venues by
artists willing to take on the challenge. During the performance dates, the
upper floors of the Milky Way will be transformed by various artists in line
with the theme of Wonders concept, featuring installations, photography and
short films. Performance dates: December 1 (invites only) December 2,
December 3 and December 4 in the Milky Way theatre starting at 22.00 hrs,
afterwards tunes by DJ Babalicious and DJ Dirk Diggler on different nights.
December 7 in the Paradiso at 20.00 hrs for the Ziel and Zaligheid-night in a
combined program. For more info www.melkweg.nl
